Brief description about how the Kendriya Vidyalaya has progressed since its inception.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Bamangachi was established in January 1987 and started functioning in the Eastern Railway Institute Hall at Bamangachi. It later shifted to the Eastern Railway running room in 1988.
Progress Over the Years
Initially, the school operated up to Class VIII but was gradually upgraded, introducing the XI Commerce stream. The first batch of Class X graduated in 1992, followed by the first Class XII Commerce batch in 1997. In April 2003, the Vidyalaya moved to a newly sanctioned constructed building provided by KVS.
Currently, the Vidyalaya is upgraded to Class XII, offering all three streams: Science, Commerce, and Humanities. The total student strength of the Vidyalaya exceeds 1,500. It operates three sections from Class I to X and one section each for Science, Commerce, and Humanities for Classes XI and XII.
Facilities
The Vidyalaya boasts an enriched library, well-equipped Science Laboratories, a Mathematics Lab, and Computer Labs. The school has a dedicated team of teachers who are highly skilled and excel in their roles.
To nurture students’ talents, various curricular and co-curricular activities are conducted. Additionally, one section of Balvatika-3 commenced in the academic session 2023-24.
